Sounds great
Really interested in coming along to this. Is it a way for us to help these organisations better understand/use Drupal? Particularly for social change?
I'm in.
Mebbe
Am hoping to make it, but it's shortly after my return to the UK.
I won't have much to say about the migration we're doing, as the main efforts will be taking place through late july / aug, so something for then, or the sept meet.
With bells on
I'll definitely be there, although I'll be mostly using my ears... Thanks for setting this up Rob.

Might be in a position to give a v brief preview of a new mapping module: http://drupal.andrewl.net if it's of interest.

Registration
Hi Rob, do we need to register somewhere for this event?
Registration for Drupal for NGOs
I haven't set anything up for this - you recommend using Eventbrite, yeah? Let me check with Tracy to see if GPUK needs a list of attendees in advance - if so, I'll set up Eventbrite and ask people to register.
Thanks, Robert :)
I'll be along too!

We are a design co-operative (www.wave.coop), that have worked for this sector for 20yrs. We're keen to take part in the massive online co-operative movement... opensource.

Hope to join you all tomorrow,

on my way!
hoping to be there for 6pm start!
Thank you all - for letting me listen in.
Dear Drupal for NGOs attendees. Thanks for letting me crash the event and join you by phone. It was great to hear about your projects and get some more solid leads on how we might organize out here.
Hopefully I'll have the opportunity to join the next event with a better connection.
Best Regards,

ps. apologies for all the annoying beeps as I disconnected and reconnected to your meeting.
Nice one
Cheers for organising a really useful meeting.
I've got a bunch of feedback I'd like to contribute, as well as ideas that have come up since last night's meeting.
However, I'm not sure that this comment thread is the best way of doing it.
Since there was chat about using this 'Drupal for NGOs' Organic Group as a site for discussion, perhaps someone could enable posting/creating discussions in this group (i.e. not just events)?
Cheers,
James
Enabled
I've enabled a few other content types for the group - see top left block.
For discussions I suggest creating a blog post with your ideas, then we'll all pile in with comments.
email digests
yes, thanks all for a great event. really great to see the internationalization of this movement.
we've got a variety thoughts, questions, feedback, hopes and dreams we'd like to share and work on together... discussions, forums, projects, knowledge-base, installation profiles etc etc...
critical however is to able to set-up/receive digests, as i fear an onslaught of emailed single comments/replies to comments etc. (you know, where users can set for daily/weekly, etc)
onward ho!
