Fancy doing something really worthwhile in the beautiful surroundings of the Lake District?

The Langdale and Ambleside Mountain Rescue Team website is in need of rebuild so we're organising a Drupalthon at the Team HQ's on the weekend of the 15th - 17th Jan.

All mountain rescue services in the UK are run by volunteers and rely on public donations to cover costs, so we are asking people to donate their time to build a website, have fun in the Lake District, and network with other Drupal developers.

Free accommodation will be provided at Langdale Youth Hostel on Friday and Saturday nights and there may be some form of car sharing going on.

We realise that the short notice may be a problem, but any help would be good. Drupal skills are not necessary, as we are also looking for people with project management skills, graphic designers, tea and coffee makers, and anything else you could bring to this project.

Further information and planning is available on the wiki page we have set up, or come along to the Yorkshire Drupal Users Group on Wednesday 13th (7pm, Panoetic offices, Gumption Centre, Gyldegate, BD5 0BQ). If you're interested in attending, add your name to the wiki or contact David Carpenter (d.carpenter[at]virgin dot net).

Please also pass this on to any friends and colleagues who may be interested.
