Hi I am new to Drupal and CMS's in general.

I am trying to create a simple site with some basic blog / diary type functionality. I have sorted the user registration element.

I want to be able to create a user options page where site setting or additional information could be added or amended ie Display name, email address, photo, contact details etc...

What is the best method of achieving this. I thought a static page and pull in the known Drupal fields ie Username, user picture etc.. then add some custom fields but I don't know how to get the drupal fields.

Hope this makes sense, any help would be greatly appreciated....
