I have a members-only page on my website ( http://lynton-rail.co.uk) .

I would like to edit a block on the home page that currently provides a quick link to the page, so that it displays either the date/time the members-only page was last updated, or replicates the "updated" message seen on News item until the registered member has visited the page. Can anybody suggest how this might be achieved?
