Hello,
I am new here. I came to this site in the hope of learning how to create a website, having learnt from
http://www.pcpro.co.uk/blogs/2009/03/05/dreamweaver-is-dying/
that my intention to use Dreamweaver might not be so wise. But I am now wondering: is Drupal too complex for those people who have no programming knowledge?
I need to create a website that can show short films (at the most 15mins) - and I know I will have to pay money to a host provider.
Thanks for any help - Paula
Drupal too complex?
As a simple answer. No.
Obviously there is a bit of a learning curve to understand how a few of the bits go together, but if you get in there, install yourself xampp (or something like that if your on a different os), install drupal and have a bit of a play and learn I am sure you can have something workable in a few weeks. You never stop learning how to do new things but if you focus on what you want to achieve, and google the right questions you should be fine. Also there are quite a fwe tutorials and things like that which should be able to help.
You can get some example
You can get some example projects to get you on your way from the book Drupal 6 Site Blueprints http://www.packtpub.com/drupal-6-site-blueprints/book
