Now that there are User Groups set up (I don't know if they're simply a content type or taxonomy or full OG?) it would be great if we could have the signup feature they use on g.d.o. Would that be possible?

I was planning to turn up at the Birmingham inaugural meet this evening, and had I not visited this site to double check, I'd have turned up not knowing the meeting had been cancelled.

With the g.d.o signup feature, the person who set up the event can send a broadcast to all attendees regarding any updates or cancellations.
