as the title suggests I'm a complete Newbie to Drupal. I am trying to get to grips with a site which has been set up by someone else. I am attempting to get a new user of our site enter their address during the registration process in such a way that it becomes stored in the Address List in their 'My Account' page afterwards. Now I can add my own text field called address which is displayed during registration but this doesn't get stored in the Address List.

I feel that the Address to be stored during Registration is probably a built in feature that someone has disabled or overridden but I can't see where

Please can anyone offer any enlightenment?

Ok - I said I was a newbie right? The Address List in the My Account section turns out to be linked to UberCart shopping module so there is a setting in UberCart (Store admin > Configuration > Address settings) which allows you to turn on / off the collection of a user's address when they register. That having been said there is an alternative module called Location which allows you to configure at a field level what aspects of address can be / must be completed - this may be useful since capturing a full address may put of some from registering.
