Map of #drupaluk users

so in spamming #drupaluk on my birthday, there seemed to be some interest in #drupaluk users having a googlemap to find each other on. With the proliferation of new drupal user groups and events it might be a useful way for UK drupalers to find each other, plan how to get togather and talk about stuff, like .. hmm ... *ding* maybe drupal! :) Any +1s?

We Have The Technology

Peter has perfected the technology to do this in the UK, including proximity searches, as part of developing www.schoolofeverything.com. Just got to find time to set it up here. A good Christmas project?

We should also map jobs, employers, and developers who are available...

Sharing best practice..

Hi. Can he maybe share best practice on getting this working on drupal 5 and 6? I'm up for offering a small bounty.. as we have a few solutions .. but they've done it right clearly..
