I would be eternally grateful if any kind person could get me started on using drupal as a content management system so i can be automatically collecting relevant information via RSS feeds, rather than my current time-demanding approach of collecting it in paper form. I wish to use drupal to develop a database of information for a social enterprise project that will empower the general public with improved understanding about and dramatically enlarged choices regarding health, preventative medicine, and sustainability in general.
I have attended various drupal gatherings enough to know that I have finally found what i am looking for in terms of software, and I have been reading the online tutorials, and I still need help to work out just how to get myself started - I catch on quickly once I've got the basics but its all been a bit too piecemeal and exploratory to date, more just seeing the amazing platform that drupal provides. Perhaps how I can best use drupal will be clarified in the upcoming end of month drupal gatherings but if there is any chance for me to get a handle on it before then, that would speed me along my way hugely.
In exchange I can offer naturapathic assistance regarding health concerns as well as savings on health products one might wish to purchase.
anybody who would like to help me get started on my social enterprise project please email me on charliemwright@gmail.com.
thank you!

Module
Try the Leech module.

It integrates with the Yahoo term extraction web service so RSS feed items are automatically classified.

If you don't have either of the 2 books currently available then I suggest you get one or both (although we seem to prefer the APress book they are both helpful in describing how to set a Drupal site up). I find printed matter easier to read and absorb than online tutorials!
See the other topic about books on Drupal for details, or post again if you have any more queries.
