Hi there Druplicates (is that the right collective noun for you guys and girls??). I'm Olly Mardling, MD of a UK based start-up and my business is based around a social-networking website for talented people and the creative world. I'm new to this place, I don’t code and I wanted to connect with the Drupal community and get some insight and advice from you in order that I can be a good client for my technical partner who has recently selected Drupal. If you have some knowledge or (even better) experience of configuring Drupal to build scalable, media-rich, social-networking or e-commerce environments, then I would appreciate some guidance… My company is working with a social-network development agency that could be an ideal long-term technical partner for our business and they have recently switched to Drupal. For the purposes of scalability, we want to have the site built through the configuration of open-source software to create our unique set of functionality and Drupal appears to fit the criteria. This organisation have impressed us by successfully migrating existing social-networks they designed onto the Drupal platform and with their proposal to use it on our project, but before we take it further, I would appreciate some recommendations from this community on how to get the best out of a developer that’s relatively new to Drupal.
