Bah

Would like to head over - my site's essentially an activist website. However I'm heading off to the US next week. When's the next one?

First Drupal for NGOs a success

50+ people came out for the first meeting of Drupal for NGOs last week at the Amnesty offices on Easton Street - w00t! We spent some time getting to know each other, Tracy Frauzel of Greenpeace UK gave a presentation on the http://greenpeace.org.uk site, Joel Bassuk of Oxfam International gave us an update on their Drupal migration/re-design project currently underway, we heard from a representative from Human Rights Watch in New York by phone, then opened things up to discussion (which focused on Drupal performance issues/tips among other things) before heading to the pub for more discussion/socialising.

I'm extremely happy with how things went, and psyched that people are keen to meet again next month, possibly at the Greenpeace UK offices in Islington.

I'll post details of the next meeting here as/when they come together - stay tuned!
