The UK efforts to organise seem very fractured, we've got a group over on groups.drupal.org for the West Midlands, there are a few of us in Coventry and Leamington.

"Grab the Tiger by Tail” - 2010 Year of the Tiger

We are a couple of Drupal users in our region,looking to hook up for an inaugural meeting.

Venue: Birmingham Motor Cycle Museum is quite central in terms of travel, rail, road, ample free car parking.

Objective is simple to share best practices enhancing Drupal as the old saying goes
