Background

Our web developers use PHP and MySQL based open source software to build websites for organisations throughout the UK and abroad. We also provide related build, consultancy and strategy services to corporations and non-profit organisations. We use Magento (based on the Zend Framework) and Drupal.

We currently have a strong Online team of ten who have a strong adherence to best practices such as version control and coding standards. We are currently contributors to the open source projects that we make use of and are looking to expand this further. We support all of our developers qualifying as Zend Certified Engineers.

Position 1 - Senior PHP / MySQL Developer

Requirements

• At least three years development experience

Desirable

• Computer science degree or equivalent

• Experience of high performance / high availability hosting

• Experience with Eclipse and SVN

• Experience with CSS and JavaScript

Position 2 - Development Lead / Development Manager

The role will involve:

• coding on technically complex projects

• solving interesting problems

• quality control and testing on other's work

• planning, specifying and estimating effort on the development aspect of projects

• liaising with clients

• ensuring the development team are working efficiently

Requirements

• Computer science degree or equivalent

• At least five years relevant commercial experience
