Here is a request for proposals for a project to create an online database and website for WWOOF (World Wide Opportunities on Organic Farms) UK. Feel free to submit a proposal for this project and get in contact with any questions, recommendations and suggestions. If you know of anywhere else we could publicise this, then feel free to repost it there or let me know and I will. In case you haven't heard of WWOOF, it is a great non profit organisation that lists organic farms and small holdings that want to have people come and volunteer with them and learn about organic agriculture in exchange for board and lodging. It was started in the UK in 1971 and there are now lots of WWOOF organisations all around the world (see http://wwoof.org for more details). I'm a director of WWOOF UK and am helping them choose a contractor for this work (otherwise I would probably be bidding for this myself).
