Mark Boulton Design is looking for a talented individual to fill the position of Web Developer for 6 months. We're looking for a motivated, enthusiastic person with experience of working with Drupal. Knowledge of Varnish, Memcache and Apache Solr technologies would also be desirable.

Responsibilities
· Develop client websites from brief and project spec supplied.
· Develop client web applications and company products.
· Produce lo-fi prototypes, incorporating JavaScript (JQuery or similar).
· Proactive development for products, applications or website ideas for Mark Boulton Design.
· Assist in managing the Mark Boulton Design in-house servers and off-site servers.
· Assist with Drupal performance and scalability.
· Develop performance and unit tests.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience
· Knowledge of Drupal configuration, module development and theming.
· Knowledge of PHP/MySQL programming/coding.
· Knowledge of technologies such as Varnish, Memcache and Apache Solr.
· Able to write semantically-rich, valid HTML/CSS.
· Good understanding of Javascript / jQuery.
· Must be passionate about Web Standards.
· Written and verbal communication skills.
· Client relations skills for occasional communications by phone, email and IM
· Self-motivated and able to work independently, but also good at collaboration, taking direction and working with others

The following are not required, but would be positives:
· Active participation in the Drupal development community would be very desirable.
· Unix/Linux, Apache and server administration knowledge would be a big plus.
· Knowledge of Expression Engine and Ubercart would be nice.
